‘Ek Thi Daayan’ lands Ekta Kapoor in hot soup

New Delhi: Ekta Kapoor – who has gone all out to promote her upcoming supernatural thriller ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ – has been called upon by the National Commission for Women for showing women in regressive roles in the flick.

“We have issued a notice to Ekta Kapoor after a complaint filed by Ipsita Roy Chakraverti who has taken offence with the way witches are allegedly portrayed in the film. She has been asked to be present before the commission on April 9,” a leading daily quoted NCW chairperson Mamta Sharma as saying.

Sharma even voiced her displeasure with the promos of the film.

“It is quite obvious from the trailer that the film seems to encourage witchcraft which is not considered good for the society. Today`s generation does not know of witchcraft and I don`t think we need to educate the youngster on something that is not considered right by the society,” she said.

Ipsita Roy Chakraverti - a Wiccan priestess based in India - had approached the President`s office with the complaint against Balaji Telefilms and the producers of `Ek Thi Daayan`. This was later referred to the National Commission for Women.

According to Ipsita, the sketch appearing in the trailer of the film also shows women in bad taste.

Saif Ali Khan is perfect man, but taken: Sonal Chauhan

Actress Sonal Chauhan says she finds Saif Ali Khan the perfect man in Bollywood for marriage. Since he's taken, someone like him would do for her, she said at a fashion show.

Asked about her idea of a perfect man for marriage, Sonal said: "I have always said that I think Saif is one man in the industry who I think is a perfect man, but he is already taken so someone like him, may be." The actress was speaking at Neeta Lulla's fashion show.

Saif Ali Khan married actress Kareena Kapoor October last year.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old Sonal feels there is no perfect age for getting married and its all about finding the right person.

"I don't think there is any right or wrong age to get married, whenever you find the person you want to spend the rest of your life with that's when one should get married and same goes for me," Sonal said.

Sonal was recently seen opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh in "3G."

She has also been signed on for Sajid Khan's next film.
