Archana Vijay, cricket commentator, IPL season 4, extra innings

IPL Season 6 has started - JLo may not perform at IPL 6 opening ceremony - Jennifer Lopez American pop sensation, can no longer perform at the opening of the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Kolkata next month.

Mumbai:
Archana Vijay, the veejay turned anchor, has just started a new innings in her career as one of the five IPL hosts. Having presented cricket for four years on Neo Sports, Archana is a pro when it comes to the game of willow. But what excites the hot presenter is the fact that she will be hosting IPL, “the biggest sporting spectacle, which will have a lot of dhoom dhadaka”.
Archana’s first outing as the host was the match between Deccan Charges and Rajasthan Royals. “After two years the Deccan Chargers team will be playing at Upal Stadium and the match will be electrifying,” she said on the eve of the match.
On her part, Archana is rooting for three teams –– Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knightriders. “I am a Rajput, born and brought up in Kolkata but I have been staying in Mumbai for seven years. So, I guess I am playing it safe,” smiles Archana.
