Friday Masala


Three movies - including two comedies Jolly LLB, Mere Dad Ki Maruti and one horror-thriller 3G - released today.

Two fun films Mere Dad Ki Maruti and satirical comedy Jolly LLB are set to tickle your funny bone.

Yash Raj Films' Mere Dad Ki Maruti, featuring Ram Kapoor as the strict Punjabi dad, is set against the backdrop of a wedding in Chandigarh. The movie is the story of a boy who sneaks his dad's new car to impress his college friend and how things take a turn when he loses it. The movies has been based on a budget of Rs.5 crore and has been made by director Ashima Chibber.


Next up is Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani's Jolly LLB, which is a satire on the legal system in the country. The movie is about a struggling lawyer named Jolly (Arshad), who wants to become India's greatest lawyer. When he comes to Delhi in search of the star case, he gets involved with one of the most popular and expensive lawyers, Rajpal (Boman). Amrita Rao plays Arshad's love interest.

This is The film, which relies on both humour and pathos for impact, is buoyed by a clutch of outstanding performances and a directorial style that is marked by admirable lightness of touch.
Writer-director Subhash Kapoor keeps it simple and shipshape.



And this week's third release 3G might interest you. Horror is the new flavor in Bollywood, after the success of Raaz 3 last year, real life couple Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sonal Chauhan will be seen in a horror thriller 3G directed by Sheershak Anand and Shantanu Ray Chhibber. The director duo has used cellphones to create fear in 3G, which revolves around the Phantom calls that are received by cellphone users worldwide.

Neil and Sonal become victims of a series of events, when Sam (Neil) buys a 3G-enabled second hand phone in Fiji Islands while holidaying there. One night they receive a phantom call, which changes their lives forever.

Indian Idol 6 Audition Dates


Sony Entertainment Television Asia is returning with the Indian Idol6

For the very first time, you can give your audition from the comfort of your home for indian idol 6.
Here rare some rules to follow though:
  • Your song should be in hindi language only.
  • You can upload only one video for online registration so upload your best one. 
  • Don't use any instrument or backing track or music etc. 
  • You have to sing alone in a plain voice.Just like you are giving audition to judges in a room. 
  • The size of your video should not be more than 30 mb.
  • The recorded video of yours must not be 2more than 2 months old. Don't try to do anything on the video with computer editing like enhancing etc.

Note: You have to upload you songs at www.myindianidol.com

Attention: When you upload your video, It is reviewed by Indian Idol Team, if everything is ok in the video, it will be shown on the website.If something is wrong in the video, it will be deleted.So take care of the above guidelines.

Selection and Results: If you are selected in the web auditions, the show organizer will call you and send you all the details for upcoming auditions like audition venues,date etc.

DIFFERENT MODES OF PARTICIPATION

1. SMS

2. IVR
Subscribers need to dial 5052525* to register
* BSNL landline subscribers from Punjab & Rajasthan need to dial 1255525 to register.

On dialing the number, following steps need to be followed in order to register for participation:

Step 1: Select your preferred language in the IVR system (Hindi/English)

Step 2: Agree to Terms and Conditions of participation. Detailed Terms and Conditions for participation are available at www.myindianidol.com

Step 3: Select your preferred city for auditions (from amongst the options provided)

Step 4: Enter age in completed years (between 16 to 30 years as on 16th February 2012)

Step 5: Select your gender

At each step you will be required to confirm your input. Failure to input a valid key press in a maximum of two attempts will result in call termination and the entry will not be registered.

3. ONLINE
Participants need to log on to www.myindianidol.com to register.

Step 1: On the landing page participants will need to input details as below:

Preferred city for auditions (from amongst the options provided)
