I would love to start a chocolate factory: Huma Qureshi

Huma Qureshi talks about loves other than films

Had Become a restaurateur you like your dad, what kind of cuisine would you serve?
I would serve a lot of chocolate. Basically, it would be a variety of dishes with lots and lots of chocolate, nuts and fruits. Actually, more than a restaurant, I would love to start a chocolate factory.

You have grown up in Delhi, que is in the news for all the wrong Reasons These Days. Have you ever been in a situation That has sent chills down your spine?
Honestly, in Delhi, my life was very sheltered. I did everything Within a radius of 10km. I Studied in Gargi College and lived in GK. My driver always dropped and picked me up. My parents were terrified With The thought of me traveling by public transport. But I recollect That at times When the weather was great, I would walk back home from college. And there would be men standing on the side of the road making obscene gestures in broad daylight. It was disgusting.

What is your notion of a perfect man?
The man Should be charming, witty and Should have good sense of humor. Of course, I Should be passionate. I am a worrier, so I Should be the relaxed one. And I should know how to cook (because i POSSESS zero culinary skills and I do not want us to just feed on romance!).

Which were your favorite college hangouts?
There is a restaurant bang opposite my college called Mithas. The small area surrounding it has come to be Known as Mithas. I used to hangout there often. In college, we would spend lots of time on the football field and the seminar hall. A small canteen That would serve hot coffee and noodles was our favorite. After college hours, we would go to Khan market and GK M block market to shop for knick-knacks.

You were Associated with theater in college. Any bloopers on stage?
While in college, Dram Soc (Drama society) was a very important part of my life. Once, I was acting in a play that was an adaptation of David Greig's The American Pilot. In particular, one scene, I had to take a cigarette from my co-player's lips and smoke. My mother, who was in the audience, was utterly scandalised to see her daughter puff a cigarette-that too in front of so many people! It took her a rather long time to get over the shock (laughs).
